The Vlaams EnergieBedrijf (literally ‘Flemish Energy Company’) aims to diminish the energy cost of the broad government. First of all by purchasing the energy centrally and at low cost, secondly by centralizing all the relevant data such as energy consumption and government patrimony, and last but not least by guiding the public entities to a more efficient energy use. The latter they realize, among other things, by facilitating energy performance contracts.
