Luminus Solutions
First challenger, electricity producer and energy supplier on the Belgian energy market, Luminus Solutions is part of the EDF group. With a power capacity of 1,897 MW at the end of 2013, Luminus Solutions represents about 10% of the Belgian electricity production capacity.
The company is historically a green producer of energy and has electric utilities based on natural gas, wind farms and hydro-electric power stations at various sites in Flanders and Wallonia. Luminus Solutions also owns several shares in nuclear installations. Under the brand Luminus, the company sells electricity and gas to about 1.7 million private and business customers. This brings the commercial market share to around 20%. Luminus Solutions is also active on the national and international energy markets as a buyer and seller of gas and electricity. The company employs around 900 people.
