In spring 2013, Factor4 realised energy audits and implemented recommended measures at the company's location in Averbode. A comfort survey was also conducted in the offices using Comfortmeter, an online comfort surveying tool (www.comfortmeter.eu).

LESSONS LEARNED

A re-commissioning project can generate energy cost savings as well as improved building comfort.

If new HVAC equipment is installed, it is good to check the design of the initially proposed HVAC installation and to (re-)commission the installation immediately after the final installation by the contractor.
